This course looks back a century to explore the major social, cultural, and economic shifts that took place during the 1920s in the United States. We will discuss how a post-war economic boom created an era of mass consumerism, Jazz-Age flappers and gangsters challenged morality and Prohibition laws, and writers, artists and musicians of the Harlem Renaissance and the “Lost Generation” redefined arts and culture in a decade that forever changed America.
This course is designed for learners with an Advanced or Proficiency level of English.
