American Masters: James Baldwin (ONLINE)

En este nuevo mini-curso de ACS, para alumnos con un nivel intermedio-alto de inglés, se examinará la obra y el legado del escritor James Baldwin. La clase se celebrará  cada dos semanas online, para hablar de este maestro de la literatura norteamericana.

This 10 week, 10 hour course is designed for learners with at least an upper-intermediate level of English. Over the course of the trimester the class will read, watch, and listen to a variety of different works and cultural production (short stories, interviews, essays, novel exceprts, theatre) by the author James Baldwin, meeting twice every two weeks virtually, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16h-17h. In-class discussions and activities will be supported by materials and assignments on the class digital platform.

In this class students will learn about the lives and works of pivotal figures of American culture, analyze the contributions and legacies of those figures, improve their speaking abilities through class discussions, and gain greater confidence with English.
