Historia del arte y arquitectura americanas: La Vivienda Americana (PRESENCIAL)
This 10-week, 30-hour course is designed for learners with at least an upper-intermediate level of English.
In this course we will look at the factors that affect how homes have been designed over the centuries in the United States and how the spatial configuration of a house relates to the lifestyle of the inhabitants. By the end of the trimester students will be able to recognize and describe a variety of architectural styles, of the 20th and 21st centuries, and they will be able to talk about the social ideas encoded in the design of a house.

Este curso de 10 semanas y 30 horas está diseñado para alumnos con un nivel de inglés medio-alto, como mínimo.
En este curso indagaremos acerca de la historia del diseño de la vivienda en los Estados Unidos. Consideraremos como la configuración del espacio está relacionada con el estilo de vida de los habitantes. Al final del trimestre los alumnos conocerán varios estilos de arquitectura de los siglos XX y XXI así como las obras de varios arquitectos americanos. En conclusión, podrán hablar de los códigos sociales en el diseño de una vivienda.
