In this mini-course, designed for students with an intermediate and upper-intermediate level of English, we will explore contemporary American short stories. The focus for this course will be the emerging genre of fabulism and its unique capacity for expressing the (sur)reality of the contemporary American experience.
Students will improve their written and spoken English through a vocabulary and reading notebook, short writing assignments, group presentations, and class discussions. The course will also be supplemented with various audiovisual materials.
