En este mini-curso de ACS, para alumnos con un nivel intermedio-alto de inglés, se leerá Gilead de Marilynne Robinson en su totalidad, reuniendo cada cada dos semanas para hablar de esta obra clásica de la literatura americana.
This 10 week, 10 hour course is designed for learners with at least an upper-intermediate level of English. Over the course of the trimester the class will read in its entirety Marilynne Robinson’s Gilead (2004), meeting once every two weeks to discuss the latest installment. In-class discussions and activities will be supported by materials and assignments on the class digital platform.
In this class students will interpret and analyze an essential work of American literature, learn about the culture and history that surround the work and its author, improve their speaking abilities through class discussions, and gain greater confidence with English and literature.
