The Great American Novel: Invisible Man (1952) Part One (ONLINE)

En este mini-curso de ACS, para alumnos con un nivel intermedio-alto de inglés, se leerá la primera mitad de Invisible Man de Ralph Ellison. La clase se celebrará cada dos semanas online, para hablar de esta obra clásica de la literatura norteamericana.

This 10 week, 10 hour course is designed for learners with at least an upper-intermediate level of English. Over the course of the trimester the class will read the first half of Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man (1952), meeting  every two weeks virtually, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16h-17h, to discuss the latest installment. In-class discussions and activities will be supported by materials and assignments on the class digital platform.

In this class students will interpret and analyze an essential work of American literature, learn about the culture and history that surround the work and its author, improve their speaking abilities through class discussions, and gain greater confidence with English and literature.
