The 5 of the week by José María Estrada (“Friend of the Library”)
Tuesday / “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath was an excellent poet but is known to many for this largely autobiographical novel which was first published in 1963 under the pseudonym Victoria Lucas. The Bell Jar has become a classic of American literature.
“I guess I should have been excited the way most of the other girls were, but I couldn't get myself to react. I felt very still and very empty”.
