In Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua state, Mexico, near the border with the United States, almost 400 women have been murdered since 1993, and more than XNUMX are still missing today. However, more than ten years after the discovery of the first victim and despite the arrest of numerous suspects, the authorities have still not identified those responsible for the killings. Worse still, the crimes continue at the infernal rate of two victims per month, and Ciudad Juárez is considered the world capital of “femicide”.

French journalists Marcos Fernández and Jean-Cristophe Rampal have carried out this extraordinary investigation in the heart of the city that murders, in search of the main protagonists of the case: suspicious police officers, reckless lawyers, scapegoats tortured to make them confess to crimes they did not have committed, families of victims and honorable women... The authors review the different clues -from the most aberrant to the most scientific- of a file that, unfortunately, is far from being closed. Because if today the criminals are still not found, one thing is certain: the murders in Ciudad Juárez show the perversity of that border city, kingdom of drugs and corruption, authentic laboratory of wild globalization.
