Cultural recommendation for the weekend

Photography exhibition “Rogelio Cuéllar: Writing of Light. 50 portraits of the Spanish Language”

“The works of Rogelio Cuéllar have no title. Each one is called photography, writing of light, literally”, is how the poet José Emilio Pacheco, winner of the 2009 Cervantes Prize, presents the work of the Mexican photographer Rogelio Cuéllar, which is exhibited in this exhibition within the activities of the Word Festival.

There are many writers whom Rogelio Cuéllar has photographed. This photographer, fascinated with portraiture, presents in this exhibition fifty masters of the Spanish language, including Jorge Luis Borges, Octavio Paz, María Zambrano, Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo and Carlos Fuentes.”
