Conference by Nicolás Wey-Gómez on "The tropics of the empire: Christopher Columbus and the south in the company of the Indies"

Next Wednesday, March 23 at 19:30 p.m. The International Institute will host a conference by Nicolás Wey-Gómez, from the California Institute of Technology, under the title “The Tropics of Empire: Christopher Columbus and the South in the Indies Company” on his book: “The Tropics of Empire : Why Columbus Sailed South to the Indies” (The MIT Press, 2008).

The event will feature a presentation and commentary by: María Antonia Garcés from Cornell University.

At the end of the event, a Spanish wine will be served.

Admission is free until full capacity.
