Exhibition “Robert Adams: the place where we live. A retrospective selection of photographs

robert-adams

“This is the first major retrospective to be held in Europe of the North American photographer Robert Adams (Orange, New Jersey, 1937), considered one of the most unique and influential chroniclers of the North American West.

A retrospective selection of photographs offers a unique opportunity to view Adams's most important works. (...) Likewise, a large number of texts extracted from her writings are shown, essential in her creative practice. In total, the exhibition brings together 42 books and more than 300 black and white photographs, dated between 1964 and 2008, from the Yale University Art Gallery, an institution that has the complete archives of the artist.
