Board game selected for October: Trivial Pursuit
Friday, October 25 at 19:30 p.m.
TRIVIAL PURSUIT RULES
The object of the game is to move around the board by correctly answering trivia questions. Questions are divided into six categories: Geography (blue), Entertainment (pink), History (yellow), Arts & Literature (purple), Science & Nature (green), and Sports & Leisure (orange).
During the game, players move their playing pieces around a track, which is shaped like a wheel. A team rolls a die and moves their game piece the number of spaces shown. The players answer a question based on that color. If the team answers the question correctly, they win a wedge of that color and the turn goes to the next team. If they answer incorrectly, no wedge is won and the turn goes to the next team. Some spaces say «roll again,» giving an extra roll of the die to the player. Any number of playing pieces may occupy the same space at the same time.
Once a player has collected one wedge of each color (to fill up their playing piece), they must land exactly on the hexagonal center and answer a question in a category selected by the other team. If this question is answered correctly, that team wins the game. Otherwise, they must leave the center of the board and try again on their next turn.
