Opera “Brokeback Mountain” directed by Ivo van Hove (Stage Director) and Titus Engel (Music Director)
“The Teatro Real de Madrid world premieres the opera based on Brokeback Mountain, an original story by the writer Annie Proulx who became famous thanks to the award-winning film by Ang Lee (2005). The controversial love story between two aspiring cowboys from the American Midwest was a great success with critics and audiences, becoming a symbol of the fight for sexual openness.”
