“The GENESIS project, together with the Terra Institute, founded by Lélia and Sebastião Salgado, aims to show the beauty of our planet, reverse the damage that has been done to it and preserve it for the future. In his more than 30 trips, made on foot, by plane, in ships, canoes and even aboard hot air balloons, in extreme heat and cold and in often dangerous conditions, Salgado created a collection of images that show us the nature, animals and indigenous people with an overwhelming beauty.”
