Decorating “cupcakes” and “Christmas Stockings”

The students of Kids' Club y Young Learners 3, in addition to some of the Saturday classes and the friends of the Library storytellers, had fun decorating christmas sweets on Monday, December 15.

In the United States there is a long tradition of decorating sweets at Christmas, especially christmas cookies.

Christina, of the store Taste of America, brought all kinds of edible decorations to decorate the cupcakes y Christmas stockings. The younger children wanted to finish quickly, so they could eat their works of art as soon as possible. But the older ones, Christine told us, were very patient and careful with the decoration. Each wanted their cupcake to be the prettiest. Which one do you like the most?

Many thanks to Jean, Cristina, Taste of America, and Caroline, the Young Learners 2 teacher. Together you made the afternoon sweeter for everyone.

Merry Christmas to all!

The Kids' Club and Young Learners 3 classes, along with some of the Saturday Young Learners students and friends of the Library Storytelling Mornings,  had a great time decorating Christmas sweets on Monday December 15th.

In the USA people traditionally decorate Christmas sweets, especially Christmas cookies.

Christina, from Taste of America, brought all kinds of edible decorations for the cupcakes and Christmas stockings. The youngest kids were in a hurry to finish quickly so they could eat their masterpieces as soon as possible. But Christine noticed that the older kids were much more patient and careful with their decorating. Everybody wanted their cake to look the best. Which one do you like best?

A huge thank you goes out to Jean, Cristina, Taste of American and Caroline,  the Young Learners 2 teacher. They all worked together to make our afternoon a little sweeter.

Merry Christmas!
