EducationUSA University Club

EducationUSA University Club

Education USA together with the International Institute and American Space Madrid present a new initiative in the field of academic advising.

What is EducationUSA University Club?

A cycle of open meetings held throughout the academic year during which issues related to the application process for admission to North American university centers will be addressed. Occasionally, advice will also be offered on the application process for Fulbright scholarships.

 What topics will be addressed?

Each session is focused on a theme. In the first of them, on February 11, they will talk about the exams that must be prepared to apply for admission, specifically TOEFL, SAT and GRE. On February 25, the meeting is designed for those who are applying for a Fulbright scholarship ( the term ends on March 16!) and will serve to help prepare the project that must be attached to the application. Other topics on which advice will be offered in this Club are, for example, the establishment of criteria and priorities for to the choice of the university, both for undergraduate studies and Masters or doctorate. Meetings will also be devoted to discussing letters of recommendation, financial aid possibilities, and how to apply competitively. In May, a workshop on "Essays and Statements of Purpose" is planned and to end the cycle with a panel with different guests on what we should have known about the admission process in an American university center.

The sessions will be announced properly identified according to whether they are focused on candidates for undergraduate or postgraduate studies (doctorate or master's degree) or both.
