#SPEAKBETTER with IIE in September!

These new features of the English program will improve the way you speak without a doubt!

“Games and Rec” – Saturdays: September 17, 24 and October 1 – 11 a.m.-13 p.m. 6-8 years / 9-11 years

Less than a "mini course", in this recreational activity children will learn a variety of American games in English.

It will be held on Saturdays from 11:00-13:00 beginning September 17 before the start of the Young Learners term. The use of English through fun and recreational activities is an effective means for children to acquire the language. As activities take place in English, participants receive authentic language “input” – “living” the language, and fostering interest in American games and other activities.

“Limelight” – TTheater and improvisation for young people in English – 14 to 18 years old

Students will participate in drama and “play” exercises for the purpose of building trust, focus, and mutual support. They will learn techniques such as movement, blocking, emotion, etc. As they read excerpts from plays and watch theater and film clips, they will learn to “study” for themselves by practicing these techniques. Students will examine excerpts and video clips from a selection of American plays and films as examples of different emotions and role playing to guide their performances. Since the course will be entirely in English (including works read, seen and performed), students learn new terms related to acting, theater and film. Additionally, the pieces being examined will introduce new vocabulary, idioms, and their usage. This material will be reinforced by practice, which is essential for progress.

“Speaking Bootcamps” – For a more natural way of expressing yourself

These courses are designed to train and improve oral skills and good communication at intermediate (1) to advanced (2) levels. Emphasis is placed on developing good pronunciation, learning new expressions, and expanding vocabulary. The oral expression courses also develop greater fluency in conversation (at each level) and try to improve day by day the skills in oral communication.

“Conversation Workshop” – Conversation workshop for intermediate levels

In these 15-hour oral expression workshops, students will work to improve oral skills and develop good communication skills at an intermediate level. The objective is to achieve greater fluency and precision when speaking English, acquiring new vocabulary and expressions and improving pronunciation.

“Proficiency Topics” – Conversation workshop for advanced levels

Proficiency Topics It is a course designed for students who have passed the general course of proficiency and want to continue to improve their level or maintain it. You work with authentic readings and multimedia material to carry out debates, conversations, essays and presentations. That will help improve oral skills and acquire good communication at an advanced level.
