NEW ACS MINI-COURSE: AMERICAN MUSIC LEGENDS
ACS 5 WEEK MINI-COURSE
The American Music Legends course is targeted at adults with at least one upper intermediate English level who want to improve their fluency, dive into American music history, lose some inhibitions with English expression, and also fair rock out!
Each week we look at one artist and explore him or her through these perspectives:
Musical: influences, genre, lyrics, structure
Consulting: politics, style, race, gender
experience: song analysis and “sing-alongs”
We will study 5 American Music Legends over 5 two-hour sessions:
billie holiday (jazz) | Chuck Berry (rock'n'roll) | Johnny Cash (country)
Bob Dylan (folks) | Madonna (pop)
