Activity in Spanish to teach boys and girls between 9 and 14 years old (preferably for ages between 12 and 14 years old) to create music through computer codes (live coding).
Steven Delvalle will use the Sonic Pi platform to teach kids how to create their own melodies and rhythms through computer programming and coding. Step by step, they will delve into algorithms and learn how to solve problems (through logic and creative thinking).
In addition to the immersion in hands-on experience, they will also learn about the pioneers of computer music in the United States: Wendy Carlos, Laurie Spiegel, Pauline Oliveros, etc. and current American artists.
The sessions will end with an act for the public, playing music live with their computers on stage.
Two Mondays a month for an hour and a half from 17:30 p.m. at 19 p.m.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended that each participant bring their own laptop or USB drive if they can. Steven will be able to help with the installation and any associated issues.
