Dúa de Pel is a literary-musical duo that dives into the roots of tradition to reinvent it. Reinvent it because it is a tradition, a folklore, created today, with lyrics by Eva Guillamón and music by Sonia Megías. Both decided to embark on this ambitious project moved by the curiosity of going further, or further back, rather, to recover a music that seems to come from the very core of the earth. Music created more with intuition than with technique (a very refined technique, on the other hand), in a listening exercise that connects us with a continuous present that extends from yesterday to tomorrow. Their musical sobriety, since it is usual for them to sing a cappella or with an austere instrumental accompaniment, envelops this unusual group in an ancestral halo of music and poetry, almost magical, difficult to define or classify. There are many performances that Dúa de Pel has behind her back, both nationally and internationally, highlighting the tours carried out in Central America (2015); United States (2016), invited, among others, by the prestigious Juilliard School in New York for a masterclass on the influence of folklore on classical music; China (2017), promoted by the Cervantes Institute; o Argentina (2017), invited by the University of Quilmes.
