On June 19, the International Institute welcomes the Grand ChoirApron who presents the concert "Maximal Voices: Homage to American Minimalism." This concert focuses on vocal music inspired by American minimalist music.
Last September the Teatro Real presented the chamber opera by Philip Glass, Orpheus. In April, she presented the opera Nixon in China by John Adams. In parallel with the operas, the International Institute has been offering courses, concerts and events inspired by North American composers, such as Glass and Adams, who are considered "minimalist".
In this line and under the direction of the artist and music sonia megias, the Gran CoroDelantal will present a program of works by contemporary American and Spanish composers that show the influence of North American minimalist music.
