On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science that is celebrated on February 11, we want to invite you to a 3D printing activity for the whole family. You are all welcome but we especially encourage couples of mothers-daughters, aunts-nieces, grandmothers-granddaughters, etc. to participate.
Spend a fun morning learning 3D modeling with TinkerCAD. After a brief tutorial, each family will design their own model that represents Women and Girls in Science for them. The winning model (chosen by the US embassy) will be printed and given as a gift to all attendees in our next edition of the Reading Roadmap that will be held on Wednesday, February 14.
The event is open to families with boys and girls interested in 3D printing with a recommended age of 9+.
We are waiting for you on Saturday, February 10, from 11am to 14pm!
“On this International Day, I urge a commitment to end prejudice, to invest more in STEM education for all women and girls, and to provide them with opportunities to improve their career prospects and their longer-term professional development, so that everyone can benefit from their innovative contributions in the future.” — Secretary General Antonio Guterres
