yael melamede is co-founder of SALTY Features, a New York-based independent production company whose goal is to create movies that entertain and improve the world. SALTY’s most recent film, “Straight/Curve,” directed by Jenny McQuaile, was released by Epix in June 2017. Her previous film and also her directorial debut, “(Dis)Honesty – The Truth About Lies” was released to critical acclaim in May 2015. SALTY's other films include “Innocent,” directed by Sean and Andrea Fine, winner of the 2013 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short; “When I Walk,” directed by 2015 Emmy winner Jason DaSiliva; and “Desert Runners,” directed by Jennifer Steinman, winner of multiple awards in the United States and around the world. He has also produced: “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men,” “The Inner Life of Martin Frost,” and the 2004 Academy Award-nominated “My Architect.” Melamede trained as an architect at Yale University before becoming a filmmaker
