This projection takes place on the occasion of the celebration on Friday June 15 of the colloquium between the North American director Yael Melamede and the Spanish Chus Gutiérrez, within the framework of the XXI Colloquium of Women Spain – USA: women directors of documentary film, a dialogue between Chus Gutiérrez and Yael Melamede.

Chus Gutierrez She is currently one of the most prestigious and relevant directors in Spain. In the 80s she moved to NY where she studied with her teacher Fred Barney Taylor and later at City College (CUNY, City University of New York). She returned to Spain in 1987 and began working as an assistant director and directing short films. In 1991 she directed her first feature film Sublet shot in New York and produced by Fernando Trueba. For this work she was nominated for the Goya Award for Best New Director. She has directed more than a dozen feature films, short films and documentaries, among which stand out Return to Hansala, The Warm, Sublet, West, Oral sex, Gypsy soul o Sacromonte. Chus Gutiérrez is also a producer, actress and playwright.
She has received numerous awards throughout her career, such as the Golden Caracola Award, the Circle of Cinematographic Writers Award for Best New Director, the Meridiana Award from the Andalusian Women's Institute and in 2016 the Horse of Honor of the XVIII edition of the International Short Film Contest City of Soria.
