Camino Creates “Bob the Box!”
Today’s post is by Camino, who is a weekday YL 3 member. She made a felt box with the help of this website: http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/diy-stiffened-felt-boxes.html
1. First she cut out the templates for the top and bottom of the box.
2. She then traced them onto her pieces of felt using a marker.
3. She cut along the solid lines and folded and glued according to the dotted lines. She also glued some construction paper inside the box because the felt was too soft to hold its shape well.
4. Finally Camino decorated her box, giving it eyes, a nose, and a hat. She named the box, “Bob.”
“This is Bob, and I made this little box for my sister. Bob has got a red nose, a blue hat with a green ball on the top, and I think that my sister will like him.”
