To discuss the use of online resources to teach English to children who speak Spanish and other languages, Ms. Comis will focus on BrainPOP, an award-winning online educational resource that utilizes animated curriculum content for teaching subjects such as English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Arts/Music.
Ms. Comis’ presentation will be highly valuable for elementary school teachers who want to use English-language materials like the BrainPOP ESL program to provide lessons in an entertaining and interesting way.
Ellen Comis is a highly-experienced, certified multi-subject teacher for the bilingual Spanish program at the primary school level in the Los Angeles (California) Public Schools. She has developed curriculum materials for use across the Los Angeles school system.
