My Favorite Pet
The Young Learners 2 class is learning about pets, and they did a project called, “My Favorite Pet.” After reading books about pets in the house, each student imagined having their own pet. Some of the pets they thought of were quite unusual, like a bat. Other students preferred having a dog or cat as a pet.
The students wrote guided descriptions of the animals for their “My Favorite Pet” project. They wrote about their pets’ hobbies, where they are from, and what they like to eat. Then, they made illustrations and collages from magazines all about their pets. The best part was learning about their classmates’ pets as each student showed their work and presented their pets to the class.
