Peanut Butter and Jelly!
Augusta Gonzalez hizo para los estudiantes de Kids Culture Club un taller sobre un sandwich muy tradicional en EEUU, el sandwich de manteca de cacahuete y mermelada. Augusta leyó una poema sobre manteca de cacahuete del autor, Shel Silverstein y tambien un libro que se llama, “Bread and Jam for Frances.” Los niños cantaron una canción de instruir como hacer sandwiches de manteca de cacahuetes y mermelada, luego hicieron sus propios sandwiches para comer. También han aprendido que se necesita 540 cacahuetes para hacer un tarro de manteca de cacahuete!
Augusta Gonzalez led Kids Culture Club members through a series of activities highlighting the traditional American peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Augusta read out loud Shel Silverstein’s Peanut Butter poem and a story called, “Bread and Jam for Frances.” The kids sang a song that gives instructions on how to make PB&J sandwiches, and then they made sandwiches themselves. They also learned that it takes about 540 peanuts to make a jar of peanut butter!
