Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day from YL2
The YL 2 group started off the trimester with activities on Dr. Martin Luther King using the past tense. The students learned about his importance in the history of the racial equality movement in the United States. We discussed the nonviolent protests he led to gain equality for all peoples. The students finger-painted colorful peace doves to celebrate the holiday as you can see in the pictures.
El grupo de YL 2 empezó el trimestre con actividades sobre Dr. Martin Luther King que utilizaban el tiempo verbal del pasado. Los alumnos aprendieron sobre la importancia de él y lo que hizo durante el trayecto del movimiento no violento para ganar la igualdad para todas las personas de todas razas. Los alumnos pintaron palomas con todos colores para celebrar el festivo de Dr. Martin Luther King, como se puede ver en la foto.
