Explore 3D design in English!
Participants of this hands-on course will learn the basics of Computer-aided design and 3D modeling. During this fall’s 3D Discovery cycle, participants will explore the real-world application of 3D design and bring their own creations and models to life.
In 3D Discovery, participants will collaborate with their peers in the IIE maker lab to develop and print original 3D designs and investigate how 3D design can be used to address real-world problems.
As a community of makers, 3D Discovery participants will practice applying English in authentic contexts through:
- Critical thinking
- Communication
- 3D design research
- Real-world application
Students can bring their own laptops or tablets or use the materials in the IIE maker lab.
*This activity is conducted entirely in English.
🌟 3D PRINT LAB | Explore 3D Design in English!
For ages: 8 – 12
Unleash your creativity! In this hands-on mini course, kids will be introduced to the exciting world of 3D design and printing, sparking creativity and innovation.
They will:
✅ Learn the basics of 3D design & modeling
✅ Create and print their own 3D projects
✅ Work in teams in the Maker Lab at the International Institute
✅ Use English in real-life, creative contexts
Through fun projects, participants build skills in:
- Critical thinking
- Communication
- Design research
- Real-world problem solving
Children will develop skills in digital design, problem-solving and spatial thinking, while inspiring curiosity in engineering, design and STEAM fields.
📅 When: Fridays, November 7, 14, 21 and 28 (18:00-19:30)

Edades: 8 – 12 años
¡Desata tu creatividad! En este mini curso práctico, los niños serán introducidos al emocionante mundo del diseño e impresión 3D, despertando la creatividad y la innovación.
Ellos:
✅ Aprenderán los conceptos básicos del diseño y modelado 3D
✅ Crearás e imprimirán sus propios proyectos en 3D
✅ Trabajarán en equipo en el Maker Lab del Instituto Internacional
✅ Usarán el inglés en contextos reales y creativos
A través de proyectos divertidos, los participantes desarrollarán habilidades en:

- Investigación en diseño
- Resolución de problemas del mundo real
Los niños desarrollarán habilidades en diseño digital, resolución de problemas y pensamiento espacial, mientras se fomenta la curiosidad en ingeniería, diseño y áreas STEAM.
