“Jessica Stockholder is a conceptual artist born in Seattle, Washington in 1959. She studied painting at the University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada and received an MFA from Yale University. She is a pioneer of installation art that mixes everyday consumer and household objects with high art traditions. Her works by her are often titled after literary or theatrical works. Her work by her has influenced a generation of artists.”
