Kids' Culture Club

"What kind of goat are you?" …….. “What's that? goat?”

Yes, you heard correctly. The Kids' Club recently shared the story “Two Goats on a Bridge”, or as they know it “The Helpful Goats” with parents, and we'd like to share it with you! It is a “call and response” story, which means that everything is first said by a “caller” and then repeated by everyone listening. It is also a puppet story, (it is very visual) so we made goat puppets and acted it out. It was a blast! Here's the story: (Without the puppets, you have to use your imagination. Remember that every line is repeated.)

Hill
Hill
Goat
Goat
One day
goat came down
crossed the bridge
Tie some grass
came back
One day
goat came down
crossed the bridge
Tie some grass
came back
One day
Both goats came down
crossed the bridge
Hey
Hey
I want to cross
I want to cross too
and they pushed
and pushed
And…splash
Hmm, she wasn't a helpful goat
Well, she wasn't a helpful goat

story number two
Hill
Hill
Goat
Goat
One day
goat came down
crossed the bridge
Tie some grass
came back
One day
goat came down
crossed the bridge
Tie some grass
came back
One day
Both goats came down
crossed the bridge
Hey
Hey
I want to cross
I want to cross too
Ok, I'll step back
And I'll squeeze
And they squeezed
And POP
crossed the bridge
Tie some grass
came back
Oh, what a helpful goat
My, what a cooperative goat

Now, the question is…
What kind of goat are you?
