Exhibition “Madrid and not only Madrid. travel notebooks”
“The notebooks that we present here are good examples of that hidden material that their owners are reluctant to show. When they return from a trip, their authors keep them in drawers or shelves from which they rarely leave. They are fragile objects, enemies of handling and light. They have access to fellow travelers, who are taught as if it were an intimate diary rather than an artistic work. They are not common in exhibitions, difficult to devise and assemble, because you necessarily have to choose a double page from among the many that are hidden.”
