“Rock-Ola: a night on the move” directed by Antonio de Prada

Jukebox-25-03-10

“The early 80s. A youth cultural movement was born in Madrid that would lead to a change in Spanish aesthetics, thought and culture: 'La Movida madrileña'. In a very short time a seedy, dark and attractive place in the capital becomes the Temple of the movement: the 'Rock-Ola'. And it is that in Rock-Ola every day of the week something happened: concerts, theme parties, alternative theater, parades, photographic exhibitions. Using one of those nights in the room as a structure, 'Rock-Ola: una noche en la movida' shows the viewer how those years were lived from the inside.”
