“Like a ghost from the past, Arturo Cifuentes reappears one day in the life of the narrator Antonio Orejudo. Cifuentes is an old friend from college, with whom Orejudo shared a house in New York, when they both found his first jobs in the United States, and who he supposed was already established in that country.
