Proposals for "A great finale" received for the IV Short Story Contest of the International Institute
ADULT CATEGORY – IN SPANISH ( "There was one, there won't be another and no one will miss her"):
11. There was one, there won't be another and no one will miss her. As dazzling as prodigious, she offered herself to us in all her splendor. Thus she lost her fragile essence, a victim of our fears.
12. There was one, there won't be another and no one will miss her. The spider knew it.
13. There was one, there won't be another and no one will miss her. The lie that I repeat to myself when I wake up to stay alive, to forget that there was one, there will be others but I will always miss it.
ADULT CATEGORY – IN ENGLISH ( "Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board"):
4. Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board. The Titanic Orchestra still plays the waltz.
CHILDREN/JUNIOR CATEGORY – IN SPANISH ( "It was a cold winter day and the snowflakes were falling like white feathers."):
2. It was a harsh winter day and snowflakes were falling like white feathers. I looked up and the sun blinded my eyes. I felt a touch on my shoulder. "Everything will be fine" she whispered to me, and I felt at home.
CHILDREN/JUVENILE CATEGORY – IN ENGLISH ( "The sun did not shine it was too wet to play so we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day”):-
