Young Learners 4 ends a very full quarter
The winter quarter at the International Institute has flown by for the kids in Young Learners 4! They learned a lot about natural disasters and catastrophes like tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes, and more. After watching some disaster movie trailers to get some ideas, the students even they wrote their own theater plays about disaster experiences and acted them out. The stories were really creative and fun despite taking place in a plane crash, a tsunami, and a shipwreck. Afterward, they watched the exciting movie “Cast Away” in English. All this while learning grammar concepts such as “used to”, “so do I/neither do I", and the different uses of “make” and “let”. To illustratemake"And"flight", the students created posters about what they were allowed to do and made to do at different places such as at home, school, the beach, and even the International Institute! It was a great quarter and everyone is looking forward to spring!

To exemplify “make” and “let”, students they created posters about what they were allowed to do and what they should do in different places, such as at home, at school, on the beach and even at the International Institute. It was a great quarter and everyone is excited for the arrival of spring!
