Summer in the City 2015 starts with a lot of energy

The boys and teachers are having a great time at  Summer in the City, the urban camp in American English in the center of Madrid.

The theme of the first week was UnderwaterWorld. They made a healthy snacks of sea turtles and dolphins made of fruits, and participated in a challenge Odyssey of the Mind to build a sea creature that would stand up in the water.

They took advantage of the shade of the garden to play all kinds of games. Here you see the Green group doing a summer race where they had to lay out the towel, place the chair, put on the hat and read the magazine in record time.

They did a lot of crafts, practiced yoga and learned a dance and at the end of the week they visited the origami exhibition at the Municipal Printing Office. They came back from the visit inspired to make their own figures that they found in the books from our library.

At the end of each week they make a Gallery Opening where they show what they have done throughout the week. They've had a great time, and there's plenty of urban camping left! Summer in the City in front!
