The International Institute invites you to participate in the development of the Library's collection by making a financial contribution.
A través del programa “Amigo de la Biblioteca” todos aquellos que lo deseen, pueden apoyar una labor con más de cien años de tradición y asegurar su continuidad como proyecto, de forma generosa.
Through the “Friend of the Library” program, all those who wish to do so can help ensure that the more than one hundred year history of the IIE Library continues.
Los Amigos de la Biblioteca se benefician de la colección, del servicio de préstamo, del espacio y de acceso preferente a las actividades culturales que organiza la biblioteca. Pero más allá de la aportación económica de la cuota de socio pueden convertirse en benefactores de la biblioteca o realizar un Donativo “in memoriam” o con dedicatoria.
The “Friends of the Library” enjoy the collection, the lending service, the space and have preferential access to the cultural activities organized by the library. But beyond the economic contribution of the membership fee, they can become benefactors of the library, or make a donation “in memoriam,” or with dedication.

El “Amigo de la biblioteca” con categoría de adulto disfruta de las condiciones generales de uso. Podrá disfrutar de la colección completa y disponer en préstamo de 15 libros por 15 días y 5 películas y revistas por 7 días.
“Friend of the library” adult tier members enjoy the general conditions of use. You can make use of the complete collection and borrow 15 books for 15 days, and 5 films and magazines for 7 days.
*Infantil-juvenil (hasta 15 años)
* Child-Teen (up to 15 years of age)
- Simple fee (6 months validity max.): €15
- Double fee (12 months validity max.): €30
El “Amigo de la biblioteca” con categoría infantil-juvenil (de 0 a 15 años) podrá disfrutar de la colección infantil y juvenil en inglés y disponer en préstamo de 7 libros por 15 días y 5 películas y revistas por 7 días. El carné de usuario podrá ser utilizado tanto por el menor titular como por el/los responsables autorizados.
“Friend of the library” child-teen members (from 0 to 15 years old) will be able to enjoy the children's and teen's collection in English, and borrow 7 books for 15 days and 5 films and magazines for 7 days. The user card may be used by both the minor who holds it and the authorized adult(s).
Friend of the Library – Benefactor: donation from €100
Su aportación se destinará al desarrollo de la colección dentro de su plan de acción anual.
Your contribution will go towards the development of the collection as part of its annual action plan.
Los nombres de los benefactores, si se desea, aparecerán relacionados en la página web de la biblioteca y en el registro permanente de benefactores del Instituto.
The names of the benefactors, if desired, will appear listed on the library's website and in the permanent registry of benefactors of the Institute.
Cualquier donación económica superior a la cuota de Amigo de la Biblioteca, modalidad “Participante, puede destinarse a la compra de materiales específicos en recuerdo u homenaje de alguien cuyo nombre se incluiría en el propio material así como en la página web. Tales adquisiciones serán siempre acordes con la politica de adquisiciones de la biblioteca. Algunos de los Amigos de la Biblioteca-Benefactores a lo largo de su historia han sido los hispanistas E. Inman Fox, Agnes Moncy Gullon o Edward Malefakis. Entre las instituciones benefactoras de la Biblioteca a lo largo del tiempo están Colegio Estudio, Hispanic Society, Boston University y New York University.
Any financial donation greater than the Friend of the Library fee, “Participant” mode, can be used to purchase specific materials in memory or as a tribute to someone whose name would be included on the material itself, as well as on the website. Such acquisitions will always be in accordance with the library's acquisitions policy. Some of the Friends of the Library-Benefactors throughout its history include the Hispanists E. Inman Fox, Agnes Moncy Gullon and Edward Malefakis. Among the benefactor institutions of the Library over time include Colegio Estudio, Hispanic Society, Boston University and New York University.
