Welcome to the International Institute's American Language and Culture Program for Adults. Our English program has helped improve the language skills of thousands of students in Madrid for more than half a century. Currently and through our online classes via Zoom for Education, anyone from anywhere in Spain or the world, has the opportunity to participate in our courses.
Throughout the year we present a wide variety of courses: from general American English courses to mini-courses designed to improve specific skills such as pronunciation. In addition, we offer courses for professionals in the corporate or legal environment.

The International Institute is uniquely positioned as a specialized teaching center for North American English with an emphasis on North American culture. Our student-centered methodology creates a dynamic learning environment, whether you attend class in person at our historic building on Calle Miguel Ángel 8 or if you opt for the online modality.
The International Institute completes its offer of general American English courses for adults with an exceptional Program of American Cultural Studies (ACS). Here you can get more information.
In addition to the online or face-to-face courses, students have access to the Moodle online platform. They also receive the membership card of the IIE library which is located on the ground floor of the building. The library offers all kinds of materials in English: books, magazines, newspapers and DVD's. It also includes a magnificent collection of children's and young adult books in English. North American teachers
If you cannot travel to the US to see life there first-hand, a course with one of the IIE professors is the closest thing. The faculty of the International Institute is made up of experienced, qualified and trained professionals committed to making their students enjoy their classes and exceeding their learning expectations by offering them an authentically American educational experience.
