American Cultural Bites: US Museum Circuit at the Eugenio Trías Municipal Public Library

New project of the American Space Madrid with the Network of Public Libraries of the Madrid City Council: American Cultural Bites: US Museum Circuit. A Virtual Tour of the US, Its Art Museums and Some Important Works of Art. For the month of May we will be at the Eugenio Trías municipal public library (Retiro) visiting the “Los Angeles County Museum of Art” (CA) and the work of Edward Ruscha “Standard Station” (1.966) exhibited there.

This is a series of six meetings in English to analyze and discuss works of art by North American artists housed in museums in the United States. In this way, each month the participants will be able to get to know different museums, artists and representative works of American art in an entertaining and participatory way.

This activity will be moderated by Jennifer Bird, art expert and professor of the American Cultural Studies (ACS) courses at the International Institute.

Registration will be made by contacting directly the public library where the session is held: Buenavista, Vargas Llosa, Conde Duque, Eugenio Trías, Iván de Vargas and Dámaso Alonso.

An upper-intermediate or advanced level of English is recommended.
