The Family Book and Recipe Club o “Family Book Club” will connect stories about food and American children's literature with recipes “to take home”, that contain ingredients or some relationship with the texts used in each of the sessions. All recipes will be from the United States, with a focus on sustainable eating.
Our facilitator, Nanor Demirjian, will be in charge of reading aloud the story of the month with the participation of the listeners. She will also explain the recipe of the month and the tricks to make it.
The books chosen in this cycle seek to introduce the participants to uses, customs and foods that characterize American culture as well as gastronomic aspects of some festivities.
As the end of the semester in June we will have a potluck party where everyone brings something to eat to share... if possible, done as a family.
Age range It will now be 6 to 8 years.
Activity in English with a little Spanish when necessary.
Schedule: One Wednesday each month from 18:30 p.m. to 19:30 p.m. (new schedule from March to June!) in the library of the International Institute.
