Family Book Club

Join us on our journey through the different regions of the United States! Through food, music and culture, the Family Culture Club will tour a region of the country each quarter. In the winter months we will continue through the southwestern states.
Each month we will highlight a specific city and get closer to its most famous recipe and what makes it unique, through a reading in English as a basis for exploration. Families will be able to try each recipe and will be taught/encouraged to try it out together at home and document the process for final creation of a book (as in previous years).
Age range: from 7 to 12 years.
Activity in English (recommended level: upper intermediate – advanced).
Schedules: One Friday each month at 18:XNUMX p.m. in the library of the International Institute.
Important for registration
- Library members will have preference in registration until the week prior to the activity. Non-members will be confirmed their participation in the week of the event, once the available places are confirmed.
- To be able to participate in the activities in English it is necessary to have an upper-intermediate level or higher. For this reason, it is necessary to take a level test (by contacting library@iie.es) or provide a document that proves your level of command of the language.
- Cancellations not notified once the confirmation is received will be taken into account as non-priority registrations in the following session.
- During the session, photos or videos may be taken for promotional use of the activity and the institution.
- The Library reserves the right not to allow participation if the behavior prevents the optimal development of the activity.
