Pfirst session of a new ASM activity for young women starting their professional careers.
Starting from a strategy “by the community, for the community”, ASM launches a bilingual conversation group for women between 18 and 26 years old. The initiative seeks to strengthen community ties by facilitating group discussions among young women who want to investigate the issues they face in their daily lives, whether within the university or professional environment.
During two monthly sessions, participants will become familiar with the cultural debates that are emerging in the United States, where women are active actors in the redefinition of social and professional roles. At the same time, they will engage in cross-generational discussions about the issues women face as they advance in different professional fields.
Topics will be developed with input from participants, with facilitator Karen Secrist leading the discussion and providing pertinent readings.
In addition, we will have invited facilitators who will participate in sessions to raise awareness of the female voices that are shaping key social debates, both in the United States and in Spain.
