Kids Book Club: Black History Month Edition — Virtual Session 1

The "Kids Book Club" of the International Institute offers children of 6 to 9 years the opportunity to read and analyze an illustrated book in English. An upper-intermediate to advanced level of English is recommended. This month we will read The Quickest Kid in Clarksville, written by Pat Zietlow Miller, which is available through from Tumblebooks in our digital library.

Participants must read the book before the session. During the activity, the moderator, Hilary Misle, will provide background information, talk about new vocabulary, and guide the discussion.

The International Institute's Kids Book Club gives children ages 6-9 an opportunity to read and discuss a picture book in English. A high-intermediate to advanced level of English is strongly recommended.
