Virtual session of our dramatized readings in English “Reading Alive” for children from 8 to 12 years (in courses from 3rd to 6th grade).
The objective of this activity is to carry out a collective reading in English from a script adapted for the occasion. To do this, the characters are previously distributed and a reading rehearsal is carried out, in which intonation, expressiveness and vocabulary are reviewed.
It requires a high intermediate or advanced level of English to be able to enjoy it and we have Trisha Ballsrud as facilitator of the meetings.
Making a nod to the Anglo-Saxon celebration of Easter or “Easter”, our script will feature a popular egg: Humpty Dumpty. Indirectly they will also learn about Nursery Rhymes.
As an additional challenge, and so that we do not miss our usual crafts related to the story, we propose that the participants paint your own easter egg to display at the beginning of the session. The possible photos that each one took of the result (not including faces please) would be included in the blog entry corresponding to the activity.
Participation in the virtual meeting will be carried out using the Zoom videoconferencing tool. It is necessary for it have downloaded this application on the device that will be used to connect to the internet (computer/tablet-ipad/mobile).
Before Friday we will send those registered the link to the virtual session and a copy of the script adapted to the number of registered, so that you can have it or print it from home so that we can use it during the session.
