From American Space Madrid we continue for the second year with our intercultural and bilingual conversation group for young women (Spanish and foreign).
Starting from a strategy "by the community, for the community", the initiative seeks to strengthen community ties by facilitating collective conversations between women who want to investigate the issues they face in their daily lives, whether within the university or professional sphere.
During two or three monthly sessions, the participants will become familiar with the cultural debates that are emerging in the United States, where women are active actors in the redefinition of social and professional roles. At the same time, they will engage in conversations about the issues women face as they advance in different professional fields, both in the US and in Spain.
Topics will be developed with input from participants, and facilitator Karen Secrist will guide the conversation and encourage discussion.
In the second virtual session, we will discuss the career of feminist icon and judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg and what is at stake for the US Supreme Court after her death.
