New book club for tweens to explore and discuss contemporary North American literature in different formats, including novels, comics, and movies. With Hanan Abdellatif as facilitator.
The literary circle will meet once a month in the library of the International Institute and will focus on the same work during several sessions: first to contextualize the book before reading (as much as they have time), then analyze adaptations of the work to other media and write from what has emerged from the sharing.
The first reading chosen will be "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle.
free activity, For younger tweens ages 8-11. With limited capacity.
