We launch a new book club in English to explore contemporary fiction for young adults (Young Adult-YA fiction).
The literary circle will meet once a month in the library of the International Institute to discuss and analyze a work of fiction, with Morgan Hogue as facilitator.
Free activity for teenagers between 15 and 17 years old. With limited capacity.
For the month of February, the group has chosen "Fresh Ink" by Lamar Giles and within this anthology the following stories: "Eraser Tattoo", "Meet Cute", Don't Pass Me By", "Be Cool for Once" and "Paladin/Samurai."
Morgan is originally from Maryland, United States, and has lived in Madrid for 7 years. She obtained a Master's Degree in Bilingual Education in Alcalá de Henares, and teaches English in bilingual secondary schools. Besides teaching, her hobbies include collecting jewelry, trying new restaurants, visiting art museums, traveling, and watching movies, but she spends most of her time reading. Morgan is part of two book clubs in Madrid, and she loves trying to convince people to read her favorite books.
