Juan was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, where he graduated from Carleton University. As well as having extensive classroom experience, he has worked as a 'Dialogue Coach' on various film productions.

Kayetan (or Kai for short) studied English Literature and has a Masters in Education from Stanford University. She has taught English for more than ten years in various centers, including the Complutense University and ICADE.
